German paper producer Sihl is considering to shut down its plant in Bern, Switzlerland, as the groupe plans to strengthen its manufacturing capacities in the German market.
Sihl could relocate the Swiss factory’s production capabilities to its Ger-man plants, and cancel some 65 jobs at the plant in Bern, according to the information obtained by local daily Le Nouvelliste. The potential relo-cation could be carried out by mid-2020.
In 2016, Sihl was taken over by UK investment fund Equistone Partners. The group is operated by a workforce of about 500.
