The Navigator Company has announced the launch of gCell, a new brand for its pulp portfolio.
The new pulp brand brings its pulp business under a single identity for its eucalyptus fibre portfolio in global markets.
According to the company, Navigator is now Europe's largest producer of eucalyptus-based pulp, with an annual capacity of 1.6 million tons.
“gCELL represents a natural evolution of our pulp business.By creating a dedicated brand, we are reinforcing the unique value of our fibre and strengthening our connection with customers” said João Escobar Henriques, Global Pulp Sales Director at The Navigator Company, as quoted by Paper Advance.
The company pioneered Eucalyptus Bleached Kraft Pulp 70 years ago at the Company’s Cacia mil (Aveiro), where they demonstrated, for the first time worldwide, the industrial production of kraft pulp from eucalyptus, i.e the Eucalyptus globulus.
