Klabin, Brazil’s largest producer and exporter of packaging paper, a leader in corrugated board packaging and a benchmark in short-fiber, long-fiber, and fluff market pulp, received recognition in two categories at the 33rd EMBANEWS Award. Promoted by EMBANEWS and Newgen Comunicação and organized by IBEM – the Brazilian Packaging Institute, the award annually showcases the sector’s top-performing projects in Brazil.
In the 2026 edition, the Company was the winner for the packaging designed for the Nintendo Switch 2, created in partnership with KaBuM!, the largest technology and gaming e-commerce company in Latin America. Produced especially for the console launch in Brazil, the solution was recognized in the Design category, Packaging visual design subcategory, for combining protection, sophistication, and visual impact. Designed with digital printing for special batches, the packaging enhances the unboxing experience and reinforces the partner’s strategy of offering consumers a distinctive experience.
As for the Sustainability category, in the Eco-friendly packaging design and production subcategory, Klabin received an award for Água na Caixa – Caixona, an eight-liter inbox solution created for the sale of water. Produced from corrugated cardboard and configured as a bag-in-box package, it delivers enhanced storage, easier transportation and handling, and reduced plastic use compared to traditional jugs and bottles. Sourced from renewable materials and recyclable after use, the initiative underscores the Company’s efforts to advance more efficient solutions across the consumer value chain.
