Italian paper producer Burgo Group has announced plans to increase prices for its woodfree and mechanical paper ranges, EUWID reports.
The company is expected to implement an additional increase of €50/t for coated mechanical grades as well as for coated and uncoated woodfree papers, in both reels and sheets. The adjustment is anticipated to apply to all new orders.
According to Euwid, Burgo had already announced a €50/t price rise for woodfree papers in February, implemented from 1 April.
According to Burgo Group, the price increases reflect the escalating conflict in the Middle East, which is putting significant upward pressure on energy and logistics costs as well as on various raw material inputs.
