The Navigator Company announces that pulp production at its integrated facility in Setubal has been temporarily adjusted, resulting in a reduction of around 25,000 tonnes made available to the market by the Aveiro and Figueira da Foz facilities during the summer period.
The adjustment was due to a temporary shutdown following a fire in July in the factory's bleaching area, which caused no injuries and was quickly resolved. Production resumed as normal on 11 August. During the pulp mill shutdown, the printing and packaging paper machines in Setúbal operated normally thanks to the use of pulp intended for the market from the Aveiro and Figueira da Foz mills.
