Toscotec will supply an AHEAD 2.2 tissue line to the multi-latin company GrandBay Group at its production base in Pereira, Colombia. This marks a repeat order for Toscotec, following the successful start-up of a tissue machine at GrandBay's Guatemala site in 2023. The start-up of the new machine is planned for second semester 2025.
The project commissioned to Toscotec is a turnkey project aimed to produce bath tissue & kitchen towel paper at high speed while reducing the use of resources like water, fibers and energy in alignment with the sustainability goals of GrandBay Group. The machine will showcase Toscotec's latest technologies and is equipped with TT NextPress shoe press technology paired with TT SYD Steel Yankee Dryer and high-efficiency TT Hoods for optimal drying efficiency. The supply also includes the complete stock preparation system, Toscotec’s upgraded Distributed Control System TT Brain DCS, as well as the full electrification system. With these advanced technologies, the new AHEAD 2.2 machine with a sheet width of 3,600 mm will have a production capacity over 40,000 tons/Year.
