Smurfit Kappa’s Spanish mill Sanguesa mill switch production from testliner to machine-glazed paper on one paper machine. According to Euwid, the production is currently down on PM1 in order to switch to MG paper production.

Production is scheduled to restart on 1 March.

PM 1 will produce brown, machine-glazed paper from virgin fibre in a basis weight range of 25-120 g/m² in the future.  After conversion, PM 1 will become PM 4 and have a capacity of 30,000 tpy.

The mill already operates two machines for machine-glazed paper, PM 2 and PM 3, with a combined capacity of 60,000 tpy.
