Russia exported 2.316 million tonnes of pulp in 2020, which became by 12,9% higher, compared to 2019 in value terms, according to latest data, published by the Russian Federal Customs Service.

In value terms, supplies fell by 0.5% to 1.007 billion.

At the same time export of newsprint for the reporting period decreased both in physical volumes - by 14.8% to 1.062 million tons, and by 34.9% in value to US$360.9 million.

Local analysts expect both the volume of production and exports of both pulp and paper will significantly grow in Russia this year, thanks to the ongoing recovery of the country’s national economics from the crisis and its consequences.
