Arhb Tissue Group ready to become leading producer of tissue in domestic market

LLC "Arhbum Tissue Group, one of Russia's largest tissue producers, which is part of JSC "Arkhangelsk PPM will expand its production by the launch of two new production lines in February-March of the current year, according to the company.

 

This is, however, just the beginning, as a couple of days ago the company also began installation of the third converting line from the Italian Futura, which has the capacity to produce about 276 million toilet rolls and paper towels per year.

 

Total cost of the project is 8.2 million euros. The capacity of the two existing converting lines are currently estimated at more than 600 million rolls of toilet paper and paper towels per year.

 

The new equipment includes a direct conversion line, two packaging machines from the Italian Plus line, an automatic palletizer robot and Elettric 80 automatic loaders (Italy).

 

Installation and commissioning works, as well as warranty tests of the new equipment will be performed within two months. The third converting line will be put into operation in March. As a result, "Arhbum Tissue Group" will be able to increase its share in the Russian market of cellulose types of sanitary and hygienic products up to 10%.

Currently the company also installing a new line for the production of napkins produced by OMET at a cost of 2 million euros. The set of equipment includes a converting line, individual and group packers, as well as an automatic robot palletizer. The production capacity of the line will be 150 tons of Soffione napkins per month. The launch of the line is scheduled for February 2021.

 

Currently the company also continues the construction of the second and third stages of the plant, with the volume of investments in each of the stages being estimated at 8.5 billion rubles. The second phase of the project will allow the company to increase its capacity to 140,000 tonnes per year and 210,000 tonnes, as a result of a third stage.

 

 

According to Alexander Tufanov, head of Arhbum Tissue Group" , the company currently in talks with the suppliers of equipment for the supply of a second paper machine and is preparing to hold a tender to select a supplier of this equipment.
