US boxboard production decreased 1 per cent in June

U.S. boxboard production in June 2020 decreased 1% compared to June 2019. It was down 1% when compared to the same six months of 2019. The boxboard operating rate was 93%, up 1.1 points from June 2019 and up 0.9 points year-to-date, as the American Forest & Paper Association reported.

 

Solid bleached boxboard production in June remained essentially flat (-0.4%) compared to June 2019. It was down 3% when compared to the same six months of 2019.

 

Recycled boxboard production in June decreased 5% compared to June 2019. It was down 0% when compared to the same six months of 2019.

 

Unbleached kraft & gypsum production in June increased 4% compared to June 2019. It was essentially flat (+0.4%) when compared to the same six months of 2019.
