With effect from July 1, 2020, the two paper wholesalers Papier Union GmbH and Papyrus Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG merged and are now trading as Inapa Deutschland GmbH. This completes the consolidation of Inapa Group, Portugal, parent company of Papier Union, Papyrus Deutschland and Inapa Deutschland, in its German operations. Inapa Deutschland now employs over 1,000 people at numerous locations throughout Germany. The headquarters are located in Hamburg.

By combining the strengths of both companies, a unified product range and stronger logistics, the Inapa Group sees the right strategic response to current and future challenges in the paper market.

Thomas Schimanowski, CEO of Inapa Deutschland GmbH: "We are very proud that we have succeeded in a merger at eye level, which was prepared in a very open and solution-oriented manner and with a great deal of commitment from both sides. Together, we will find it easier to preserve what both wholesalers already enjoyed before the merger: Customer proximity, an excellent product range, a high service level and strong logistics. The increasing demands of our customers on a modern wholesale company are the focus of our activities. Therefore, we now have to further develop our existing strengths with an even more individual offer and improved consulting services and to quickly implement the necessary technical innovations.”

The portfolio of Inapa Germany combines the best of the previous product worlds of Papier Union and Papyrus Deutschland. When harmonizing the product ranges, the main focus was on continuing to serve all customer needs reliably and with the highest quality, with strong umbrella brand concepts and specialties for every application.

The areas of individual packaging solutions and large format printing will continue to be represented by the subsidiaries Inapa Packaging GmbH and Inapa ComPlott GmbH (formerly ComPlott Papier Union). The Inapa Logistics division of Inapa Deutschland GmbH stands for strong customized logistics solutions from the group - from procurement and transport logistics to fulfillment services.
