Archroma, a global leader in color and specialty chemicals towards sustainable solutions, announced that it has joined the US-based Moulding & Millwork Producers Association (MMPA).

The MMPA gathers wood products manufacturers and key industry players in the US, and promotes not just the interests of its members but also the use of sustainable forests, giving preference to recyclable and renewable resources.

Archroma first entered the wood market around 3 years ago, when the company decided to adapt some of its long-established color technologies and specialty chemicals to applications adjacent to its traditional textile, packaging, paper, paint and construction markets.

The company, with its unique 130-year heritage in specialty chemicals, developed a complete portfolio for wood application, that includes solutions for coloration, weather and UV protection, fire retardancy, oil & wet repellence, scratch protection, as well as emulsions for coatings, adhesives and seals.

The company specializes in partnering with their customers to innovate and create tailor-made solutions and systems, with sustainability at core. They call it: “The Archroma Way: Safe, efficient, enhanced – It’s our nature”.

“When Archroma entered the wood industry, we did so with the confidence that our chemical expertise would benefit manufacturers who need the highest levels of quality and service,” comments Rodrigo Casa Grande, Head of Sales, Packaging, Paper & Wood, North America. “With the MMPA, we know we are also joining a group of like-minded, good people who share our belief that we can develop and manufacture products in a safer and more sustainable way for people and the planet.”
