The Boards of Directors of Norrskog and Norra have agreed unanimously to propose to their shareholders’ general meetings that the associations should merge to form a joint forest owners’ association.

This represents the start of something totally new. A new, strong, joint forest owners’ association creates totally different, better conditions for private forest owners in Northern Sweden. It also means that the companies become a bigger, broader-based supplier of timber products to their shared customers, according to Norrskog.

To maintain competition for timber and help every single forest owner to create profitability in their forest property, a unified group of forest owners is required. The new association’s financial strength lays the foundation for secure, long-term development for our customers and members, and also for employees and business partners, according to Norrskog.
