Finnish paper workers’ strike is over

The Finnish Forest Industries and Finnish Paper Workers' Union came to an agreement on 10 February, ending a two week strike. All work stoppages related to labor disputes end immediately. Employees return to their next shift in the schedule.

Salaries will increase by a total of 23 cents in the first year, of which the general increase is 11 cents and the local rate 12 cents. In the second year, salaries will increase by a total of 34 cents, of which 17 cents is a general increase and 17 cents a local item. The resulting agreement is valid until December 31, 2021.
