ANDRITZ supplies North America

International technology Group ANDRITZ will supply a complete wood pelleting plant including woodyard to RWE Innogy, the renewable energies company of the RWE Group. The order value is approximately 40 MEUR. Start-up of the plant, to be erected in Waycross, Georgia, USA, is scheduled for the beginning of 2011.

ANDRITZ FEED & BIOFUEL will deliver a debarking line, a chip handling system, as well as hammer and pellet mills. With a production capacity of approximately 750,000 t/a, this wood pelleting plant will be the largest in North America.

This investment is part of RWE’s growth strategy, which is largely based on reducing CO2 emissions by developing renewable energies in Europe.
