SAICA has said that it will begin construction of a £290 million (US$473 million) recycled containerboard mill at Partington Wharfside in Trafford, United Kingdom.
The new mill is expected to produce about 400,000 tpy of lightweight containerboard from 100 percent recycled paper.
"This huge investment in the current economic climate is the best message SAICA can send to its UK customers," said Eduardo Aragues, president of the SAICA Group.
The mill will house PM 11, a 7.5 metre-wide paper machine with an operating speed of up to 1500 meters per minute.
