Polish packaging maker Opak sp. j. has announced plans to build a new plant to make cardboard packaging after last month’s fire that destroyed the company’s production facility in Szczecinek, in the country’s north-western part.

Before the incident, the Polish factory was operated by a workforce of about 250 employees, according to the information obtained by local news site Szczecinek.com.

Set up in 1991, the manufacturer says its product portfolio includes a wide range of cardboard and corrugated cardboard packaging products, as well as machinery to produce such packaging.
