Wood pulp production in Russia decreased this year

Production of wood pulp and pulp of fibrous materials in Russia during the period of January-August 2013 decreased by 7%, compared to the same period in 2012. and amounted to 4.8 million tons, according to data of the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

Timber production has decreased by 1.5% - to 14.1 million cubic meters, while plywood, in contrast, has  increased by 4% - up to 2.2 million cubic meters. The production of fiberboards declined by 9.6% - to 274 million sq. m.
