Thailand’s Double A has recently purchased the assets of French Alizay mill, which was divested by Metsä Board earlier this year. In an interview with EUWID, Double A's Senior Executive Vice President Thirawit Leetavorn, says that his company sees Europe as a market with great potential, especially France.
Double A plans to gain market share in Europe by focusing on a niche product.
As quoted by EUWID, Leetavorn says: “We are active in a niche market where customers are less concerned by price when it comes to buy quality paper. We are not adding to the mass of low-priced paper on the market.”
The Alizay mill will produce recycled paper made by pulp produced in Thailand.
