German manufacturer Progroup AG has an-nounced it is investing €375 million to build a new paper mill in San-dersdorf-Brehna, in Germany’s eastern state of Saxony-Anhalt.
Under the plan, the new facility will be fitted with a capacity of some 750,000 tonnes per year, Progroup said in a statement. The invest-ment will create 140 direct jobs at the paper mill, and up to 350 indi-rect jobs.
In addition to Progroup’s facilities in Germany, the Landau-based manufacturer owns owns in the UK, Italy, France, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
