Romanian tissue paper manufacturer Sofidel Romania has reported improved sales for 2017, at RON 235 million (€50.5 million), up 3% compared with a year earlier.
In spite of the increased sales, the company maintained its workforce at the level of 260 employees, according to data obtained by local business daily Ziarul Financiar. The company reported a profit of RON 2.7 million.
Set up in 1992, the producer has been part of Italy’s Sofidel group since 2010. In the Romanian market, the company sells its products under the brands of Onda, Volare and regina.
