Large investment in leading Scandinavian packaging manufacturer

Peterson is a leading packaging manufacturer in Scandinavia. In order to promote the growth after the recent acquisition, Peterson initiated an investment program of approximately 25 million euro. It marks a new start for the company and the ambitions are high as Peterson is stepping up in several areas. 



Shortly after the recent acquisition, the extensive investment plan was initiated this spring to modernize the facilities in Norrköping, Bäckefors, Randers and Sarpsborg. An operation that will continue throughout 2017. The ongoing investments focus on the entire Scandinavian market. 



In addition, Peterson recently acquired the highest level of BRC certification (BRC Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials) for the production facilities in Norrköping, Sweden, and Randers, Denmark, as the first corrugated packaging manufacturer in Scandinavia. The BRC certification means that Peterson is able to meet the extensive requirements for the production, storage and distribution of packaging for food and pharmaceutical products.

It’s a quality standard that provides real added value for our customers as it contributes to a better and more sustainable supply chain “, says Dan Johannessen, Managing Director of Peterson in Scandinavia. 



Peterson has a long history in supplying sustainable packaging. All products are fully recyclable and support the circular economy. Its geographic spread and complete product offering gives Peterson a unique position in Sweden, Denmark and Norway, which is now being further reinforced with the overall investment program. A program that will give customers from various sectors in Scandinavia improved service and quality.
