On Sunday evening, a giant sinkhole measuring 64 square meters was discovered at the mill Domsjö Fabriker in northern Sweden. The sinkhole has forced the dissolving pulp mill to shut down.

An underground drainage pipe is supposed to have caused the sinkhole. A nearby river has also closed for boat traffic.

Accoring to Abitya Birka, the mill owner, it is still unclear what caused the drainage pipe to undermine the ground.
