Jouni Matula granted with prestige Harris O. Ware Technical Prize

Jouni Matula, CEO of Wetend Technologies Ltd was awarded by TAPPI (Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry, USA) on April 16 at PaperCon 2018 in Charlotte NC, USA with the valuable and prestige Harris O. Ware Technical Prize of Paper and Board Division.

The nomination was based for the work with paper and board industry and especially work with process additives and TrumpJet Flash Mixing Technology: “Your TrumpJet technology pretty much revolutionized the way everyone thinks about additive injection systems, stated Larry Montague, President of TAPPI at the award event”. Jouni Matula was also designated as “TAPPI Fellow” of 2018. The Harris O. Ware award is granted yearly to those who provide remarkable advancements in paper technology.

Jouni Matula is CEO of Wetend Technologies Ltd in Finland, inventor of TrumpJet Flash Mixing Technology and one of the primary shareholders of the company.

Jouni is a member of board of directors of Forest Products Engineers Association (PI) in Finland

Past activity and duties: Management of global business, marketing, research and product development and engineering: Ahlstrom Machinery Oy, Enso-Gutzeit Oy with international subsidiaries.

More than 40 years’ experience in international Machinery and Process & System Supplier Business for Paper, Board and Pulp making industry having special expertise in machinery and process knowledge of PM/BM Approach processes, stock preparation, wet end process and wet and additives and mixing processes.

 Jouni has published about 70 conference papers or articles in journals. He has been the innovator in over 100 international patents or patent applications for pulp and paper processes or machinery.
