Paper packaging maker to invest $3.5M in Slovakia

New manufacturing investment Slovak paper bag maker Eco-Bags s.r.o. has unveiled plans to invest some $3.5 million to upgrade and expand the output capacity of its production facility in Myjava, in west-ern Slovakia.

Under the plan, the factory's current production capacity will be raised from about 600 million bags per year to an annual output capacity of 1 billion bags, according to data obtained by the state-run Slovak In-vestment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO).

The investment, including the purchase and installation of new ma-chinery, is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
