Austrian packaging producer Ham-burger Containerboard GmbH has unveiled plans to invest €300 mil-lion to open a new plant in Kutahya, in western Turkey.
The factory is expected to be launched in 2020, according to com-pany representatives. The vast majority of the production facility’s output will be intended for the Turkish market, Velisan Iner, the gen-eral manager of the designed plant, told local daily Hurriyet Daily News. The Austrian company recently signed a deal to obtain a land plot for the investment.
Hamburger Containerboard is part of Austria’s Prinzhorn Holding.
