Valutec presents a new generation of intelligent control systems for sawmills

Lumber drying is one of the most crucial factors when it comes to quality in the sawmill production process. Valutec announces the launch of its Valmatics 4.0 control system, which will enable sawmills around the world to automate and optimize drying in all types of lumber kilns. The high quality of the process is ensured by simulators programmed with data from hundreds of thousands of measurements to enable the calculation of drying processes with unbeatable accuracy from beginning to end.

New greenfield containerboard mill to be constructed in China

The idling of obsolete paper machines in China which no longer met environmental standards in the last years makes space for new investments. According to Euwid, Shangrao City Lulin Paper will build a 700,000 tpy containerboard mill in the country.

The greenfield mill is located in the Chinese province of Jiangxi. According to machine engineering company Valmet, the new mill is to have a capacity of 700,000 tpy of liner and fluting.
