Industry professionals from 60 countries have already pre-registered their visit to the industry event of the year, Pulpaper 2014 in the Messukeskus Expo and Convention Centre. Pulpapernews are going to be report direct from this important event, which is taking place on 3-5 June, 2014.

The exhibition floor of Pulpaper 2014 features 453 companies from 29 different countries, ready to show their latest innovations, technologies and know-how to the pulp, paper, board, converting and bio-based industries.

The event is taking place parallel to investment boom in the Scandinavian fiber industry. During the last three months, investments of just over 15 billion SEK (approx 1,67 billion EUR) has been announced for the Scandinavian cellulose industry, which translates into about 1,7 million tonnes of new pulp capacity and production of new forest based products. This indicates an investment boom not seen for decades in the Scandinavian forest industry.

Focus is on market pulp which is explained by the future global increase of consumption mainly in countries with no fiber supply of their own. But plans go further than that, the new generation bio refineries is on the way with production of electricity, pine oil, turpentine, lignin, diesel and a range of bio chemical products.

The Paper Square is a large stage and exhibition area in the middle of the exhibition hall, from where the top management of the four companies will take to the stage to update participants of the PulPaper event on trends and news in the industry and give their view and input on the industry’s future and development.

Programme will run during the whole PulPaper event starting from midday of Tuesday 3 June, right after the Event Opening Ceremony has been streamed live from the Congress Wing of Messukeskus to the big screen on the Paper Square for everyone to follow.
