Sequana plans to exit the US market for graphic papers

Sequana plans to exit the US market for graphic papers and consolidate production capacities of Arjowiggins' Graphic division at the Bessé-en-Braye and Le Bourray paper mills in France, according to EUWID. The move is aimed to to "significantly reduce Arjowiggins's exposure to the standard coated paper segment."  As a result, Sequana plans to sell or close the 140,000 tpy Wizernes woodfree coated paper mill in France.

In Europe, Sequana has announced plans to intensify its efforts to restructure Arjowiggins into a company with a focus on specialty business. The production will be concentrated to Arjowiggins’ Stoneywood paper mill in the UK, and its Charavines paper mill will be is sold or closed, in the case that no buyer will be interested.
