PaperWorks Industries announced recently that it will be closing its Phoenix, Arizona folding carton plant in the coming months.

Employees and customers affected by the closing have been notified as the company begins the process of transferring them to other folding carton plants in the US and Canada, PaperWorks said.

The closure will affect 91 employees.

“In order to better serve our customers, we are announcing our intention to consolidate our manufacturing operations in North America," said Joe Moynihan, Packaging Group, Executive Vice President. "The manufacturing assets will be moved out of Phoenix and repositioned among our other seven plants.

"Working with our customers on the transition, we will enable them to receive the same quality products and services from one or more of our other plants,” he added.
