The PLMA Trade Show held in Amsterdam - the international event dedicated to the “World of Private Label” organised by the Private Label Manufacturers Association, which every year brings together distributors, wholesalers and producers - will be attended by Lucart once again this year. Innovation, sustainability and quality: these are the founding elements of Lucart’s activity that will be presented at the trade show and on which the company bases its business and its offer to the consumers.

Innovation, represented by products such as Tenderly “Carezza di Latte”, which combines the typical softness of Tenderly products and the innovation of natural fibres of Qmilk, obtained without using any chemical agents so as to ensure a 100% natural formulation that is dermatologically tested, exceptionally soft and highly resistant. Qmilk fibres are made of renewable raw materials and of milk not suited for human consumption. Consequently, their CO2 level is lower than that of any other fibre. They are produced through a sustainable process with high energy savings and zero waste, in synch with Lucart’s company policy from the standpoint of sustainability. Tenderly Carezza di Latte was named “Product of the Year 2017”.

Sustainability, which translates into products made of Fiberpack®, the material obtained from the recycling of cellulose fibres found in Tetra Pak®-type beverage cartons, a result of the virtuous and multi award-winning project originated from the collaboration with Tetra Pak®. From just one of these containers, it is possible to obtain 74% of cellulose fibres, in addition to 22% of polyethylene and 4% of aluminium, which means that 100% of its components are recovered. A project that, translated into numbers, has made it possible to achieve important results in just 4 years: over 2.8 billion 1-litre beverage cartons recovered, more than 1.2 million trees saved and over 73,000 tons of CO2e saved.

Quality, which is best exemplified by products made of Airlaid, a technology through which the cellulose fibres never come into contact with water during the production process, and are subjected to a treatment that provides exclusive resistance to the final product, even when completely wet. Thanks to this procedure, the fibres make up a highly resistant “dam-like” structure, which makes it possible to reuse each single tear-off sheet more than once, either wet or dry, for multiple uses. This technology is used to make a product such as Tutto Pannocarta, an effective 3-in-1 product: a cloth, a sponge and a paper sheet, with absorption and resistance values that are 6 times higher compared to other kitchen paper rolls.

Moreover, this year Lucart will be presenting at the trade show the Tailor Made Paper, the innovative service that assists mass retailers in the choice and packaging of a product “tailor-made”for their own customers. The sector operators visiting the trade show will be able to see for themselves this new instrument, through touch-screens, trying out the personalised configuration of packages for Lucart products – toilet paper, paper towers, napkins and tissues – on the basis of needs identified in the stores. This system features an important advantage: the possibility to offer one’s customers a range of products able to meet their needs.
