Bulgarian cellulose maker expands sales

Bulgarian cellulose producer Svilosa AD has an-nounced it managed to increase its sales from BGN 120 million (€61.4 million) in 2017 to BGN 152.5 million (€78 million) last year, up 27.1% year-on-year.

 

The company’s improved financial performance allowed Svilosa to double its net profit from BGN 13.9 million (€7.1 million) in 2017 to some BGN 30.8 million (€15.7 million) last year, according to data obtained by local news site SEENews.com.

 

Based in Svishtov, in northern Bulgaria, Svilosa says its subsidiary Svi-locell EAD is the only producer of bleached kraft pulp in the Bulgarian market.
