Tetra Pak to close one production line in Spain
Tetra Pak has decided to reduce its capacity at its Spanish plant in Arganda del Rey.
During the six months of 2019, one of two production lines at the site is expected be shut down. According to a statement by Tetra Pak, about 54 employees are affected by the closure, representing about 16 per cent of the total workforce. The company decided to shut down the line because it cannot be upgraded in order to meet market requirements, according to Euwid.
The Arganda del Rey plant, which started operation in 1970, specialises in the production of cardboard packaging.
