Metsä Board’s Kemiart kraftliner product family meets the demand for light weighting by the introduction of an improved grammage range in Kemiart Lite+. The wide grammage range in Kemiart Graph+ is already proving sufficient for light weighting purposes.

The grammage range of Kemiart Lite+ has been updated, meeting the need for light weighting without compromising strength properties, provided by fresh forest fibres. Kemiart Lite+ is mainly used in flexo post print processes.

The wide grammage range of Kemiart Graph+ provides opportunities for producing lighter packaging structures in all corrugated applications. Flexo preprinters in particular may benefit from the lowest grammages. The strength provided by fresh forest fibres combined with the superior printability of Kemiart Graph+ meets the demand for lighter packaging with branding power.

“Our customers want to take advantage of light weighting, and it is important that our new double coated grades, Kemiart Graph+ and Kemiart Lite+ give them the maximum choice in achieving this,” says Risto Auero, VP Sales Linerboards, Metsä Board. “

The Kemiart product family, including Kemiart Ultra and Kemiart Brite, provides options for light weighting in all possible corrugated categories, applications and end-uses.

Production according to the new specifications will start from 1st July 2012. Customers are requested to contact their local sales representative for more information.
